The foreign police authorities scrutinise the authenticity of the family relationship in order to prevent marriages of convenience or other fraudulent practices.<\/p><h2 style=\"color: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-size: 1.25rem;\">Conditions for obtaining temporary residence<\/h2><p>A foreigner who wants to apply for temporary residence for the purpose of doing business must meet the following conditions:<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ol><li><strong>Prove a family relationship to a foreigner already residing in Slovakia<\/strong> (marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc.).<\/li><li><b>Prove your integrity<\/b> - a criminal record extract from the applicant's home country and all countries where the applicant has lived for a long time, with the necessary legalisation. <b>Does not apply to minor children.<\/b><\/li><li><b>Provide proof of accommodation <\/b>- This can be a lease, a title deed or the consent of the property owner. The accommodation should be identical to the residence of the person to whom the family members are being reunited.<\/li><li><b>Proof of health insurance<\/b> - by concluding a contract with a health insurance company in the Slovak Republic.<\/li><li>Meet other conditions arising from the legislation of the Slovak
