However, it has subsequently been shown that this information was not true. Therefore, the Ministry of the Interior removed the original press release the very next day, 08.08.2025, and replaced it with a new version that does not contain this information.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"168\" data-end=\"491\">\n<\/p><p data-start=\"631\" data-end=\"778\">It therefore remains the case that <strong data-start=\"654\" data-end=\"744\">You can activate the BOK code exclusively at the local Aliens Police Department<\/strong> according to your registered residence.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"168\" data-end=\"491\">Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic on <strong data-start=\"213\" data-end=\"232\">7 August 2025<\/strong> has introduced significant <strong data-start=\"251\" data-end=\"327\">changes in the system of booking appointments at the departments of the Foreign Police<\/strong>. The new system fundamentally changes the way in which foreigners can make appointments for residence-related tasks, while also introducing <strong data-start=\"442\" data-end=\"490\">user authorisation by residence status<\/strong>. The system thus newly divides foreigners into <b>authorised, i.e. persons who have already been granted a residence permit, and unauthorised, i.e. persons who have not yet been granted a residence permit, i.e. are not on the register - so-called first-time applicants<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"168\" data-end=\"491\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><b>\u2757<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Warning:<\/span><\/b><\/span> Due to the change, large crowds are once again forming at the Aliens Police Departments to activate the BOK code, so we recommend that you consider visiting in the first few days after the change has been implemented.<\/p>\n<h4><b>Authorised foreigner - an foreigner with a granted residence permit<\/b><\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"548\" data-end=\"698\">Foreigners who <strong data-start=\"564\" data-end=\"624\">have already been granted temporary, permanent or temporary residence<\/strong>, must log in to the reservation system <strong data-start=\"671\" data-end=\"697\">in an authorised manner<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"702\" data-end=\"828\"><strong data-start=\"702\" data-end=\"827\">Logging in is done exclusively with an electronic proof of residence, a card reader and a BOK code (personal security code)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"702\" data-end=\"828\"><strong data-start=\"831\" data-end=\"842\">BOK code<\/strong> is the 6-digit number chosen by the foreigner when collecting the document. In case of its loss or inactivation, the BOK can be renewed at <b>locally competent&nbsp;<\/b><strong data-start=\"975\" data-end=\"1007\">department of the Aliens Police according to the registration of residence.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul data-start=\"1083\" data-end=\"1102\">\n<li data-start=\"1083\" data-end=\"1102\">\n<p data-start=\"1085\" data-end=\"1102\"><strong data-start=\"1085\" data-end=\"1102\">Booking up to 60 days in advance.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6>\u2757<b>Warning: <\/b>Documents issued before 06\/2021<\/h6>\n<p data-start=\"1152\" data-end=\"1501\">Residence permit issued <strong data-start=\"1178\" data-end=\"1197\">before June 2021<\/strong> <strong data-start=\"1198\" data-end=\"1295\">they do not contain the correct uploaded certificates for full electronic submission of the application for residence<\/strong>. Although the police can upload certificates on such documents, these are <strong data-start=\"1362\" data-end=\"1430\">functional only for the services of the Financial Administration of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic<\/strong> (e.g. eData, eCash) - <strong data-start=\"1454\" data-end=\"1500\">but not for the services of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4><b>Unauthorised foreigner - foreigner as first applicant<\/b><\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"1758\" data-end=\"1881\">A foreigner who <b>has not yet been granted residence in the Slovak Republic<\/b>, <b>i.e. first-time applicants and cross-border users of e-services<\/b>, are considered to be<b> unauthorised user<\/b>, the reservation is created in the current way without the need for authorisation via a document.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1919\" data-end=\"1945\">Reservations are made without an electronic receipt.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1919\" data-end=\"1945\"><b>40 days advance booking possible.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><br><\/b><b style=\"background-color: transparent;\">To make a reservation, as standard, you need to enter:&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2199\" data-end=\"2218\">\n<li>first and last name,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2065\" data-end=\"2083\">date of birth,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2065\" data-end=\"2083\">travel document number,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2065\" data-end=\"2083\">phone number,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2065\" data-end=\"2083\">email address.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Recommendation for foreigners<\/h5>\n<ol data-start=\"3146\" data-end=\"3522\">\n<li data-start=\"3146\" data-end=\"3265\">\n<p data-start=\"3149\" data-end=\"3265\"><strong data-start=\"3149\" data-end=\"3201\">Check the date of issue of your residence permit<\/strong> - if the document was issued before June 2021, electronic submission of a renewal application is not possible, but appointment booking remains available.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3146\" data-end=\"3265\">\n<p data-start=\"3149\" data-end=\"3265\"><strong data-start=\"3269\" data-end=\"3289\">Activate your BOK<\/strong>- if you have not already done so.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3318\" data-end=\"3395\">\n<p data-start=\"3321\" data-end=\"3395\"><strong data-start=\"3321\" data-end=\"3355\">Make sure you have a document reader<\/strong>- without which you will not be able to log in to the system.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3396\" data-end=\"3522\">\n<p data-start=\"3399\" data-end=\"3522\"><strong data-start=\"3399\" data-end=\"3451\">Plan your reservation well in advance<\/strong>- as the availability of dates is limited and the system may be overloaded again.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div>\n<h4><b>Changes to the general rules of the booking system<\/b><\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"2226\" data-end=\"2333\">As part of the system change, the following have also been introduced <strong data-start=\"2265\" data-end=\"2332\">new rules on the number and method of making reservations<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<h5><b>Obligation to make a reservation for a specific name<\/b><\/h5>\n<p data-start=\"2389\" data-end=\"2527\">Booking at the foreign police is <strong data-start=\"2425\" data-end=\"2485\">mandatory to create for a specific name and surname of the foreigner<\/strong>who will appear in person at the workplace.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"2530\" data-end=\"2595\">The reservation can be made by the foreigner himself or by an authorised person.<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u2757<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2530\" data-end=\"2595\"><strong data-start=\"2598\" data-end=\"2663\">Reservations that do not meet this condition will not be accepted.<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u2757<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><b>Limiting the number of bookings<\/b><\/h5>\n<p data-start=\"2699\" data-end=\"2856\">One particular person (foreigner) can create <strong data-start=\"2749\" data-end=\"2777\">only one reservation<\/strong> under <strong data-start=\"2786\" data-end=\"2853\">all locations in Slovakia during a period of 15 calendar days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"2859\" data-end=\"2908\"><strong data-start=\"2859\" data-end=\"2908\">Even a cancelled reservation is considered used.<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u2757<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2859\" data-end=\"2908\">If the user attempts to exceed this limit, they will be alerted to this fact during the booking process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><b>Automatic control<\/b><\/h5>\n<p data-start=\"3055\" data-end=\"3119\">At the end of the process <strong data-start=\"3081\" data-end=\"3116\">automatic reservation check<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"3120\" data-end=\"3259\">\n<li data-start=\"3120\" data-end=\"3259\">\n<p data-start=\"3122\" data-end=\"3259\">If the system detects a violation of any of the above rules, the reservation will be <strong data-start=\"3205\" data-end=\"3228\">automatically cancelled<\/strong> without the right to an alternative date.<span style=\"font-size: 16px; background-color: transparent;\">\u2757<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section
