Level of recommendation: level 3 - Not recommended to travel to Iran<\/strong><\/div>

In the context of the current deteriorating security situation in the Middle East<\/strong>\u00a0caused by the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian military conflict and its potential impact on the wider region\u00a0we do not recommend making any trips to Iran.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>

Citizens of the Slovak Republic who are currently in Iran\u00a0we recommend that you consider the need to remain in the country.<\/strong><\/p>

We continue to draw your attention to\u00a0the possibility of demonstrations across the country<\/strong>\u00a0in connection with the poor socio-economic situation, whether possible\u00a0risk of arrest of EU nationals<\/strong>\u00a0by the Iranian security forces.<\/p>

In the country there are\u00a0marches in support of Palestine and other demonstrations, and rallies of the people.\u00a0<\/strong>Citizens of the Slovak Republic\u00a0we recommend avoiding such places.<\/strong><\/p>

Citizens of the Slovak Republic who are in Iran are strongly warned,\u00a0not to photograph military installations,<\/strong>\u00a0or any other critical infrastructure. For photographing strategically important objects\u00a0foreigners in Iran face espionage charges.<\/strong><\/p>

In general, it is necessary\u00a0observe basic rules of personal safety, avoid conflict situations<\/strong>\u00a0and respect local customs and cultural and religious traditions.<\/p>

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic recommends to the citizens of the Slovak Republic\u00a0take into account the deteriorating security situation and the fragile internal political and economic situation in the country\u00a0<\/strong>and respect the advice not to travel to Iran.\u00a0<\/p>

In case of emergency<\/strong>\u00a0citizens of the Slovak Republic may contact the emergency mobile phone number of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Tehran: +98 912 384 8971 or the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic: +421 2 5978 5978.<\/p>

At the same time, we recommend that Slovak citizens, when travelling abroad, use\u00a0a voluntary registration service on the Ministry's website<\/a>\u00a0or via the Svetobe\u017eka mobile app.<\/p>
