Dear Clients, The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Nairobi informs Slovak citizens planning a trip to Kenya about the forthcoming change to the conditions of entry into the country. As of 1 January 2024, the visa required so far should be replaced by an electronic travel authorisation called an eTA. The new electronic travel authorization (eTA) system is a semi-automated system that determines the eligibility of visitors to travel to Kenya. However, the eTA permit does not determine whether a traveller is eligible to enter Kenya. Immigration officials will determine admissibility once the traveler arrives. The eTA application collects biographical information and answers questions regarding eligibility. Application for admission eTA Keyna can be made at any time before travel, but it is recommended that passengers make a request immediately after booking your accommodation and transport tickets. Digital platformto be launched soon, will ensure that all passengers travelling to Kenya are identified in advance. The standard processing time, according to preliminary information, will be approximately three (3) working days. The above website is in test mode for now, if you decide to go ahead and submit your application, it will be a test application and hence your application will not be processed before the system is launched. We recommend that you wait for the official launch of the website. There should also be a mobile application available, the launch of which is tentatively foreseen from 15 January 2024. Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, South Korea and the United States, for example, use similar electronic entry permit systems for some or all foreign visitors. EVisa issued on or before 31.12.2023 will be valid in 2024 - according to the validity period indicated on the document issued by the Immigration Department of Kenya upon approval of the visa application. For specific questions, we recommend contacting Embassy of Kenya in Vienna possibly directly Directorate of Immigration Services Ken. Source: Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs

Electronic visa - Kenya

Dear clients,

The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Nairobi informs Slovak citizens planning a trip to Kenya about the forthcoming change to the conditions of entry into the country.

As of 1 January 2024, the previously necessary visa should be replaced by an electronic travel authorisation called an eTA.

The new electronic travel authorization (eTA) system is a semi-automated system that determines the eligibility of visitors to travel to Kenya. However, the eTA permit does not determine whether a traveller is eligible to enter Kenya.

Immigration officials will determine admissibility upon arrival of passengers. The eTA application collects biographical information and answers eligibility questions. Application for admission eTA Keyna can be made at any time before travel, but it is recommended that passengers make a request immediately after booking your accommodation and transport tickets.

Digital platformto be launched soon, will ensure that all travellers to Kenya are identified in advance. The standard processing time, according to preliminary information, will be approximately three (3) working days.

This website is still in test mode, if you decide to go ahead and apply, it will be a test application and therefore your application will not be processed before the system is launched.

We recommend to wait for the official launch of the website.

A mobile app should also be available, the launch of which is tentatively foreseen from 15 January 2024.

Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, South Korea and the United States, for example, use similar electronic entry permit systems for some or all foreign visitors.
