Official translations

Official translations are translations of a document that are performed by a person or institution that is authorized and authorized to perform such translations within a given state or legal system. Their purpose is to ensure that the translated text preserves the accuracy and truthfulness of the original and is acceptable for official purposes.

Official translation (often also called court translation whether translations with stamp) are prepared by official translators registered on the list of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic. 

Official translations are mainly used in official communication at various offices, in the state administration, abroad and also in banks. The process of obtaining an official translation:

• Submission of the original: A person or company that needs an official translation submits the original document to a translator or translation agency.

• Selection of the translator: The customer selects a translator or agency based on their professional skills, experience and authorization to perform official translations.

• Execution of the translation: The translator performs the translation and confirms its authenticity and faithfulness to the original.

• Certification and verification: Upon completion of the translation, the translator will provide a certificate confirming that the translation is faithful to the original and is ready for official use.
