Citizens of the Slovak Republic can travel to Canada on the ETA visa waiver program for trips of less than 6 months. The reason for the visit must not be other than tourist or business travel or to transit through Canada.
Slovak citizens can travel to Canada without a short-stay visa.
The residence permit is usually valid for 6 months from the date on the entry stamp.
However, in certain circumstances, the immigration officer at the point of entry into Canada may shorten or extend the length of lawful residence
In Canada, visitors arriving by plane the obligation of so-called pre-travel electronic authorisation (Electronic Travel Authorization - eTA).
This is also mandatory for air transits through Canada. The eTA authorization is not mandatory for visitors arriving in Canada by car, boat or train. The fee for an eTA authorization is CAD 7 and valid for 5 years (or until the validity of the passport listed on the eTA form).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic will decide on the granting of a visa within 15 days.
